As a designer and maker, I often through around terms like seconds and samples but what does that mean exactly? Ahhhh... I'm glad you asked! 🌞
✨Seconds: I'm a total perfectionist but sometimes things don't go exactly to plan and mistakes happen (because, well because of being human!)
Seconds might have minor imperfections that don't affect the wearability, but mean that I can't sell them at full price. Honestly, some of these are so slight you'll barely even notice - my seconds are still pretty darn great and I will never sell a second that I wouldn't wear myself (and as I mentioned, I am a bit of a perfectionist)
✨ Samples: Samples are pieces I make while developing new designs, or prototypes before finalising a collection. They are therefore super rare and one off pieces that probably won't be made again.
✨ End of Line: There comes point when it's time to retire certain pieces or whole collections. If I refer to something as being 'end of line' it means it's the last I have in stock and I'm never going to make it again – once they're gone, they're gone for good!
In my sale, I'll clearly mark each item as a "second," "sample," or "end of line," so you'll know exactly what you're getting and why it's discounted. This way, you can snag some truly unique pieces at an absolute bargain price✨
