Finding Inspiration and a New Path
Owner Gayle, had been working in corporate marketing for over 20 years. She was ready for a change and saw an opportunity when a friend, who previously owned the shop, was looking to move on. Gayle took the leap and hasn't looked back.
Supporting Scottish Makers and Bringing Joy
Her previous experience working in "re-shoring" in the electronics industry translated perfectly to her vision for The Wee Gift Shop. She strives to support Scottish makers and curate a collection of unique gifts that you won't find anywhere else. The shop offers a simple studio shopping style that is designed to spark joy with every item.
A Welcoming Space for Gift-Givers
The Wee Gift Shop attracts a mix of people that shop with us but the thing they all have in common is that they are looking for ‘something a little different’. The shopping experience and atmosphere in the shop is really important and upbeat music fills the store, thanks to their resident Alexa programmed to play "Happy Songs."
